|Comments:||My edition is from 2003. The designers are Bruno Faidutti och Michael
Schacht. The game is published in French, English and German.
Phases in a round:
This seems to be a typical Faidutti game with characters with different power and a bluffing auction. Unfortunately the bluffing is more frustrating in this game than in his "Citadel", partly because you loose all the gold you have bid, even if you loose the auction. But this is said to be the core of the game. A good starting combination for one player can also result that everyone needs to chase this player to even have a chance against him. This happened in my very first game, when one got two points in the first round.
It's a beautifully produced game, as all of the games of Days of Wonder, but not anything I would recommend, as there are more better games out there.
